Uptake Strategies are delighted to announce the launch of this year’s 4-day Pharma and Biotech Academy in September 2020. Open to recent graduates, undergraduates and postgraduate students interested in a career in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
The 4-day programme will cover a plethora of topics ranging from therapy areas and industry trends for innovation, pharmaceutical strategy, planning and use of multichannel marketing to key company roles and processes. Participants will be joined by key industry speakers from global pharmaceutical companies and the academy will be held virtually.
Topics
Day 1: Industry overview, R&D process, largest companies, therapy areas and industry trends for innovation.
Day 2: Key pharma / biotech customers, registration and funding, key company roles and processes + guest speaker.
Day 3: Pharmaceutical strategy, planning and use of multichannel marketing.
Day 4: Pharma case (MBA) and assessment exercises + guest speaker: Graduate recruiter from a global pharma company. Debrief, certificate and drinks.
Who is this Pharma and Biotech Academy for?
This four-day course is for graduates studying for a postgraduate qualification or undergraduates interested in a career in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
How much will it cost?
The cost of this course is £1500, however, 20 scholarships have been provided; successful applicants will need to cover their own travel costs but lunch will be provided.

The four-day course curriculum will be delivered by senior team members at Uptake Strategies, along with guest speakers from the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.

8 – 11 September 2020. From 10.00am to 3.00pm.

What will you get at the end of the 4 day course?
Successful participants will be introduced to leading UK pharma company graduate programmes and will receive a certificate of completion. You will also have access to the feedback, outputs and assessment from the workshop for future career planning support.
