In addition, 13 entrepreneurs were also recognised for their innovative products and ideas to potential investors, buyers and industry experts.
During the Pharma Industry Supplier Diversity Forum, senior members of procurement teams from across the pharma industry presented on topics such as “The impact of enhanced innovation and digital IT on the healthcare industry”, “Supplier Diversity challenges in pharma and how we can break down those barriers” and “Digital Transformation”.
In round table discussions, the attendees identified key trends in pharma procurement, and challenges and future opportunities for large pharma / biotech companies to improve their supplier diversity. They identified the key benefits of using small / mid-sized suppliers as: access to innovation in products and services to create competitive advantage, greater flexibility and agility, and efficiencies in time / costs.
