Joy for the Uptake Team as we celebrate achieving finalist status in two categories

It is with immense pride that we share the wonderful news of being selected as finalists at the prestigious ‘National Business Women’s Awards 2023’, in two categories!

Uptake has been shortlisted for the award for ‘Employer of the Year’ and our CEO and Founder, Stephanie Hall has been selected as a finalist in the ‘International Business Women’s’ category.

International Business Women’s Award

This category recognises ‘trailblazing women who own or run a business successfully trading and expanding internationally’. Over the past twelve months, Stephanie’s  leadership and trusted client relationships have led to Uptake delivering a record volume of industry leading healthcare consultancy to global pharmaceutical companies across our four award-winning healthcare consulting services: planning, strategy, capability and launch. This has inspired exceptional performance, and transformed patient outcomes around the world.

Stephanie founded Uptake 18 years ago, with a vision to create a different style of healthcare consultancy – one which is driven by client-centric passion and true to its values. To have done this, while also delivering such incredibly meaningful work across the world is a remarkable achievement. We are proud to have such an inspirational woman entrepreneur in our leadership team and our fingers are tightly crossed!

Employer of the Year Award

Our second shortlisting recognises the transformation our business has been through over the past year. Phenomenal commercial growth has required us to rapidly increase our team of passionate consultants with deep, practical pharmaceutical experience. Many of those who have joined our ranks this year have held highly respected positions in top pharma and biotech organisations, and we are delighted to have such a diverse breadth of talent in our team.

Despite the speed of our growth, our HR team, led by Chelsea Foxwell, has risen to the challenge, transforming our recruitment, training, policies and more. Remarkably, this has been achieved without damaging the culture that Uptake values so strongly. If anything, our team is more closely connected to our values than ever before.

Becoming a winner in the ‘Employer of the Year’ category would be the icing on the cake for Uptake this year, having recently been ranked as one of the UK’s best places to work in the  Great Place To Work listings, and making the lists of top workplaces for women and wellbeing. We look forward to the upcoming awards ceremony on 15 November 2023, where we eagerly await the opportunity to honour and acknowledge the remarkable achievement of women in business, while also hoping to add to our extensive collection ofPharma and UK Business Awards received since 2013.
